

Jim was born in Rapid City, SD to Francis and Ruth Gepford. His family moved to Spokane in 1942.
After graduating from Cheney High School, Jim worked as a miner for The Bunker Hill Company in Kellogg, ID until 1965, moving to Renton, WA and working for The Boeing Company as a Jig Builder. He became a Union Steward in 1978, Business Representative in 1980, and Executive Assistant to the IAM Union District 751 President until he retired in 1995.
He enjoyed living in Washington State in the warmer months and Arizona in the cooler ones. He loved to fish, going to car and horse races, and watching the Seattle Seahawks. He loved helping his neighbors with projects, chatting on the corner with them in the mornings and taking his evening walks.
We love and miss you. As you have always said “Stay Tuned”. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Francis and Ruth Gepford, sister Marlene Hubert, son James Gepford Jr., and girlfriend Tomme Cooper.
He is survived by daughters Teresa Hanson (Brian) of Maple Valley, WA, Lynell Gardner of Everett, WA, Julie Young (Shane) of Snohomish, WA, Gina Parrish (Randy) of Kenai, AK, and son Robert Gepford (Shannon) of Spokane, WA.
Grandchildren: Amanda Hawley, Garrett Gardner, Brogan Lucke (Michael), Jake Dragseth, and Becky Jo Dragseth Great-Grandchildren: Scarlette Hawley, Violette Hawley, Mason Lucke
Numerous nieces and Nephews.
