January 27, 1937 - January 3, 2022
Our mother Joyce was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of Homer L. Sanders and Frances Sanders. She was their middle child. Connie was the big sister and Ned the little brother. Being an Air Force family, the Sanders lived in many different places, but mom’s “true home” of 60 years was Albuquerque, NM. Joyce leaves behind her son Kelly Lutz (Lori Taylor), her daughter Karen Tonani (John Tonani), 4 grandchildren - Lauren, Kyle, Ryan, and Madison, and her favorite dog Katy. A small family gathering will take place this summer in Albuquerque to return mom to her beloved Sandia Mountains. Mom had a saying framed and hanging on her wall for as long as I can remember and I believe this was her guide to life:
