Kenneth A. Runeberg

Runeberg, Kenneth Alvin (Age 91) Passed away on July 20, 2011 in Spokane, WA. Kenneth was born on August, 9, 1919 in Sioux Falls, SD to Nels and Ellen Runeberg. Kenneth served in the U.S. Air Force as a Bombardier and Navigator during WWII and after 22 years of service he retired with the rank of Major. He was a Professor at Eastern Washington University where he taught Accounting and Business Law for 15 years. Kenneth loved camping, boating, salmon fishing, and cruising the San Juan Islands. Kenneth was a wonderful dad and papa. He is survived by his daughter, Mindy Runeberg, Spokane, WA; sons, Kenneth Runeberg and Richard Runeberg, both of Spokane, WA; five grandchildren, Luke, Mirissa (Pink Butterfly), James, Kristina, and Kristopher; great grandchildren, D.J. and Carter; his Monday group friends; John Ford and family; his many adopted daughters; his cat Milo and dog Mandi.. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruthie Runeberg. Visitation on Monday, July 25, 2011, from 10:00 – 2:00 P.M. at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home. Interment Fairmount Memorial Park.
