

Laurence (Larry) E. Potter , age 69 years. Passed away July 1, 2011 from complications following cancer surgery. Larry was born in Tonasket, WA June 7, 1942 to Neal and Elma Potter. He grew up in Spokane, WA and graduated from John Roger’s HS in 1960. He married Betty Pearl Blair in 1961. Larry worked for American Van Service for 45 years. He is survived by his loving daughter Robin (John) Budig; two stepdaughters, Diane Spencer and Beady Wilson; brothers, Bob Potter, Dick (Valarie) Potter, Roger (Sherrie)Potter; sisters, Eileen (Ralph ) Kirby and Margaret (JR) Addington; numerous grandchildren, great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty in 2003; step children Patty Wilks in 2010, and Frank Ortega in 2009 and his parents. Larry loved to spend his time at Priest Lake, Hawaii, square dancing and bowling. We will all miss this loving, soft spoken, kind, helpful, hardworking man with a good sense of humor. A visitation will take place Thursday, July 7, 2011 from noon until 8:00 pm at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, a funeral service will be held in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home on Friday, July 8, at 2:00 pm, interment will follow at Pines Cemetery.
