Mary Ann Schmidt

Mary Ann Schmidt, 86, of Spokane, Washington died peacefully on February 10, 2018, at Aspen Quality Care of Spokane, after living a full and blessed life. Mary Ann was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many and she will be deeply missed. Mary Ann was born in Ingalls, Kansas on Christmas Day, December 25, 1931. Mary Ann was born to Reuben J. and Irene Peaster. Mary Ann married John Schmidt on July 14, 1952 while John was home on leave from the Army. Mary Ann was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by three children: Steve Schmidt (LynnDee Schmidt) of Billings, MT; Gary Schmidt (Kim Schmidt) of Spokane, WA; Shari Miller (Bill Miller) of Spokane, WA, as well as six grandchildren: Scott Schmidt, Stephanie Schmidt, Stacey Schmidt, Jason Thomas, Emily Miller and Daniel Miller and one great grandchild; Aaron Covey. She is preceded in death by her husband John Schmidt, her granddaughter Shannon Thomas Covey, her father and mother, four sisters and three brothers. Mary Ann lived a good and full life. The most important thing in her life was her relationship with her Jesus Christ and doing what she could to make others happy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Ball & Dodd Funeral home with Interment to follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
