

William (Bud) L. Griffiths Jr. went to be with the Lord, December 5, 2021, in Spokane, WA. He was born January 9, 1935 in Ontario, OR, to William and Ruby Griffiths. He grew up in Emmett, ID, where he met his future wife in High School. He married Gelene Mills on November 27, 1954. Bud served in the Air Force 23 years, working in missiles.
Bud loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, golfing and boating. Spokane was the perfect place to retire. He was part of Fowler UMC men’s group that played golf at Sundance Golf Course. He also loved bowling. He worked at Fairchild Bowling Center as night manager and manager. He bowled locally on senior leagues and state traveling teams. Bud received his 2 year AA degree in carpentry at Spokane Falls Community College. Bud and his wife built their dream home in Long Lake, Nine Mile Falls, WA.
Bud is survived by wife, Gelene, of 67 years; sisters Barbara Clapp and Patty York; brother, Gary Griffiths; daughters, Diana Brown (Paul) and Nancy Strack (Jay); grandchildren, Melissa, Nicole and Ashley; and great-grandchildren, Lily, Braden and Hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruby Griffiths; his sister, Dorothy Gratton; and brother in laws, Art Gratton, Ray York, and Earl Clapp; and sister in law, Linda Griffiths.
Open casket visitation- Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 12:00-1:00 pm at Fowler UMC, 3928 N Howard St, Spokane, WA. Funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm, same location.
Burial Friday, December 17 at 1:00 pm at Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA
