Marilyn Schnell was born on July 16, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois to parents John and Martha (Radatz) Schnell. She was a career Military Wife which led her to live in 35 states before settling down in Spooner in 1988. Marilyn worked at various jobs throughout her life, but most recently she worked at the Shell Lake Hospital for numerous years as a receptionist.
Marilyn Roland died on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at the Terraceview Living Center in Shell Lake at the age of 79.
Marilyn is survived by her son Richard (Barbara) Chaffee of Villa Park, IL, daughter Sue Roland Larson of Spooner, WI, 3 grandchildren: Jason (Kelly) Chaffee of Minneapolis, MN, Nathan and Christopher Larson of Spooner, WI, and daughter in law Jan Chaffee of Trego, WI.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husbands Delmar Chaffee and Dewey Roland, son Bob Chaffee, and her parents.
