Agustin Arroyo (Gus) was born in Cuba and moved to the United States when he was a child. He grew up in Key West, Florida and lived all his life in various parts of Florida.
Gus played basketball and football for Key West High. He was the lead singer of multiple bands in Key West and even portrayed a policeman in a tv series in the 1970’s.
Gus owned a roofing company with his brothers in Key West and remained a carpenter for his entire life.
Gus was married for 51 years and is survived by his wife, Julie, and two children, Bronson and Serenity.
