

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alphonso Beamud lovingly known as Jimmy on April 26, 2026. He died peacefully at Sturgill Hospice House. He fought a long battle with complications from diabetes.
Alphonso was born on March 7, 1946, to his parents Alphonso and Christina Beamud-Arslanian He grew up in New York, NY. He was preceded in death by his brother Frank and survived by his sister Bernadette Beamud. He is also survived by family members brother-in law Carmine Mustillo and sister in-law Beatrice Mustillo as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was a devoted husband to his loving wife Louise Beamud. He was a cherished father to his two daughters Cynthia Charnovesky and Michelle McNicholas. He also leaves behind three grandchildren Kimberly Trapani, Brandon Charnovesky and Alexandra McNicholas and two great grandchildren Madison and Mia Trapani
Jimmy was a remarkable man that valued family and friends. He led a fulfilling life and loved his job as a third railman transit worker with the NYC MTA. He was a dedicated veteran and served our country proudly in the United States Navy. Jimmy had many passions in life. He was affiliated with the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He will always be remembered for his dedication.
In his leisure he enjoyed fishing and was a fan of country line dancing, He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and enjoyed watching and going to games with his family. Jimmy also loved his cherished pets his Dalmatian Pearl, two Bloodhounds Hunter and Columbo and his German Shepard Deeogee.
Jimmy had a great respect for his religion; He was dedicated to reciting the rosary’s and attending mass at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church until his illness became a major factor and even then, he would watch mass daily at home.
In reflecting on his life, we will all remember the joy Jimmy’s presence brought to those around him. He will live on forever in our hearts.
A funeral to honor his life will take place on May 3rd, 2026 at Turner Funeral Home and a Mass at 11am on May 4th at St Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church Thank you for your presence and support at this difficult time.
