

Ana Emilia Ramirez, age 86, of Spring Hill, Fl. died on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center, in Brooksville, FL. Ana was a 26 year resident of Spring Hill, coming from South Jersey, where she lived for 16 years. Ana came to the US from Carolina, Puerto Rico. Ana was born on March 28, 1930, to the late Heriberto Encarnacion and Juanita Hiraldo, in Carolina, Puerto Rico. Ana retired from the South Philadelphia High School after 17 years as an Assistant Teacher. Ana loved to cook, sew, and design her own fashionable clothing. She also enjoyed crocheting and listening to classical music and soundtracks from Broadway musicals. Two of her favorite songs were “The Rose” by Bette Midler and “Always and Forever” by Luther Vandross. Ana was a fabulous cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. Her most sought after dish was her “arroz con pollo” and Puerto Rican rice pudding. She had a way of cooking that warmed the soul and left you wanting more. Ana loved to sing, and was a choir and church member for many years at both the Spring Hill Baptist Church and the First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill, along with her husband Mario. Ana is Baptist by faith and currently holds membership at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Spring Hill, FL. She was very devoted to her faith and would wake up at three o’clock for her daily prayers. Her favorite bible verse was Psalm 121. Ana was preceded in death by her parents. Ana was one of eleven children. Ana is survived by her husband Mario L. Ramirez, whom she married on December 21, 1963, in Lake Zurich, IL. Ana is also survived by her loving family to include: son, Saul Bruno Encarnacion and his wife, Minerva, of Tampa, FL; daughter, Cyndy Ramirez Clark and her husband, Lee, of McLean, VA. Granddaughters: Christel Guillen and her husband, Darrin, of Washington, DC; Cynthia Guillen of Alexandria, VA; and Alexandria Clark, of Norfolk, VA. Grandsons: Javier Encarnacion, of Blackwood, NJ; Adam Clark, of McLean, VA; Miguel Encarnacion, of Blackwood, NJ; and Marcelo Encarnacion, of Blackwood, NJ. As well as by great granddaughter, Jayla McKay, of Alexandria, VA. Ana will be greatly missed by her brother Manuel Encarnacion, and sisters: Nelly Hernandez, Blanca Encarnacion, Zoraida Encarnacion, and Glicel Encarnacion Gilestra, all of Puerto Rico. Ana’s family and friends will gather at the Turner Funeral Home – Spring Hill Chapel, on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, for a memorial gathering from 6 -8 pm. The Memorial Service will be led by Pastor Ray Rouse of Spring Hill Baptist Church at 7 pm.
