Ann Pauline Clinger, 85, died on December 24th, 2017 at Florida Medical Hospital of Connerton in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Ann was born in Goshen, Indiana. She attended Indiana University and worked for General Motors. In 1962, she married Joseph Clinger Jr. and moved to Dayton, Ohio. While living in Ohio, she worked as a substitute teacher and had two daughters and also volunteered at The Children’s Hospital in Dayton. She also attended Pasco-Hernando State College. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, six brothers and one sister. Survivors include daughters, Lisa Van Cleave and Lori Starry; sons-in-law, Mike Van Cleave and Randy Starry; grandchildren, Justin, Jacob and Joseph Van Cleave, and Ryan, Matthew and Kevin Starry. Ann is also survived by two sisters, Irene (Joseph) Duzy Schell, Regina “Lillian” Duzy Anthony. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 5th, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens in Spring Hill, FL. In lieu of flowers please contribute to the Hernando County SPCA.
