Ashby T. Simpson

Born outside of Purcellville, Virginia on December 2, 1942, he was the son of the late Ashby R. Simpson and Olive Mae Goodnow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Debbie, his sister Mary S. Lloyd and his brothers Charles R. Simpson and Joe R. Simpson.

Ashby is survived by his loving wife, Patty of Weeki Wachee, Florida, daughter Shannon Simpson, grandson Matthew Simpson (McKenzie), great granddaughter Kali and his brother David Simpson (Sandy) all of Loudoun County, VA. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

He was born on a farm outside of Purcellville, VA and lived his entire childhood there. Graduating from Loudoun County High School in 1961, he entered the army. After leaving the military, he spent his entire career with Air Cargo at Dulles Airport.

Upon retirement, he worked with his wife Patty, training and boarding racehorses in Charlestown, W. VA.

Ashby was a robust, fun-loving man, who loved life and lived it to the fullest. After leaving the area, he moved to Florida where he enjoyed walking his dog Bruce and playing corn hole with his wife and neighbors.
