Bennie C. Edwards, Jr.

He was born in Brookville, PA on August 11th, 1941. Bennie passed away peacefully, with his wife of 64 years by his side. Bennie married Johnnie T Hardcastle on November 12th, 1960.

After graduating from Cassadaga Valley Central High School, Bennie worked in the construction and paving industry and owned his own business for many years. After moving to Florida in 1979, he worked for Overstreet Paving and after retiring from there in his fifties, he and Johnnie operated Edwards Fisherman's Rest (Motel & RV Campground) in Steinhatchee, FL for almost 10 years. After selling that business, he and Johnnie spent many years traveling around the US and enjoying the things he loved including, his family, fishing and hunting.

Bennie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Bennie Edwards, Sr and Ariel, and his Brother, Barney Edwards.

Surviving members of his family include his wife Johnnie, his Daughter, Jacquelyn Wasson (Andy), Son, Dennis Edwards (Kim) and Daughter, Stephanie Mastramico. He has seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and is also survived by two sisters, Bonnie Turbeville (Steve) and Donna Edwards and one Brother, Dennis Edwards (Linda).

Funeral service will be held at Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609 on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 at 11am. Following the Viewing and Eulogy, there will be a brief graveside service at Brooksville Cemetery, 1275 Olmes Rd, Brooksville, FL 34601.
