Bruce Knudt Jorgensen Jr.

Bruce Knudt Jorgensen, Jr., 71, of Gretna, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ypailanti, Michigan to Bruce and Evelyn Jorgensen. He was a U.S. Navy veteran for 23 years. Bruce loved animals and was an animal activist. When he retired from the Navy he started a grooming business so he could help groom animals in shelters. He became so very loved by all of the families he groomed for and would often have weekly play dates with those sweet puppies. He loved playing softball for many years including in the military, he was an avid golfer, enjoyed running and had a passion for classical rock. He was a proud hippie and loved his long hair. All will dearly miss him.

He is precede in death by his father Bruce K. Jorgensen, Sr.

He is survived by his son Douglas Jorgensen (Victoria) of Tampa, FL; daughter Heidi Biro (Victor) of Lincoln Park, NJ; mother Evelyn Rae Jorgensen; brother Brian Jorgensen (Mark); sisters Deb Jorgensen (Tom) and Donna Jensen; grandchildren Heather Truesdale (Andrew), Aaron Wright (Celina), Joshua Wright (Rosie), Nathan, Gavin and Makena Jorgensen; great grandchildren Tyler and Grayson Truesdale; nieces Vonnie Christianson (Dana), Genean Christianson (Brett); and his beloved dogs Bowtie, Timmy and Chance. And many other loving family members he adored.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
