Born in New Jersey, Connie moved with her parents to New York State at a young age, where she grew up and built the foundations of her life. Her work included a variety of jobs, including spending time with the telephone company, working in the clerical field, and serving with compassion as a care aide, a role she found deeply rewarding. Her hobbies included sewing and crocheting blankets, which she continued to enjoy well into her 90’s.
In 1950, Connie married her husband, Diego, whom she met at a dance. The couple got married in Brooklyn, NY, in September 1950. They later retired to Spring Hill, Florida, enjoying their golden years in warm, year-round sunshine.
Connie was predeceased by her husband, Diego (d. 2009), and her two younger sisters, Ida Santoro (d. 2021) and Emilia “Millie” Diaz (d. 2025).
She is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Josephine, and her husband, Scott Saltzman; her sons, Ciro, Pasquale and Angelo, and his wife, Cindy Musso, as well as her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Connie found deep comfort and a quiet strength in her unwavering faith, which remained constant throughout her life. She will be deeply missed and forever celebrated in the hearts of all who knew and loved her
