OBITUARY “A funeral is not a day in a lifetime, but a lifetime in a day.” Dennis Balfour Green was born on February 10, 1958 in Kingston, Jamaica to Homence White and Headley Green. He departed this life on March 16, 2016 to rest in the arms of his heavenly father. Dennis migrated to New York in 1979 where he pursued a career as a Corporate Transient Mobility Specialist and worked with various major corporations including Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs. From an early age, Dennis has always had a passion for technology. He exhibited extensive knowledge in repair and maintenance of electronics, a skill that was both inherent and acquired. He has always surrounded himself with the latest gadgets and technological devices, a hobby that made him happy. Dennis relocated to Florida in 2007 where he dedicated his life and resources to God, his loving mother and the church. He accepted the Lord and became a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in November 2010, where he served as Lead Usher. Dennis also served as Board Member at Courts of Praise Deliverance Ministry A true asset to his community both in New York and Florida, Dennis’ life was a testament of his willingness to assist and aid anyone in need of help. He touched so many lives with his kind words and calm and peaceful demeanor. A memory recounted by his first born son Marik tells of Dennis’ intervention between Marik and classmate. According to Marik, conversation between Dennis and his classmate resulted in them both becoming friends with no additional conflicts. Dennis was truly a reflection of God’s perfect creation and can be best summarized by Psalms 37:37, “Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright, for the end of that man is peace.” A peace Dennis attained on March 16, when he said goodbye to his earthly home and was welcomed into his heavenly home. Dennis is survived by his sons, Marik and Malik, his mother Homence, his sisters Marie and Andrea, his brother Hugh and a hosts of friends. Dennis will be interred at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens located at 14354 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill FL 34609 on March 26, 2016 following his home going service. Reception will follow immediately at the Church of God of Prophecy. The family gratefully appreciate prayers and condolences during this time of loss. A FALLEN LIMB A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we're together again –Author unknown
