Bill graduated from Penn Hills High School before earning a bachelor's degree in economics from Muskingum College. He earned his doctorate degree at the University of Maryland. His career in education spanned over 26 years beginning as a S.S. teacher and an elementary guidance counselor in the Rockwood Area School District (1968-1989).
He later server as a professor at Lock Haven University.
Bills passion for education and commitment to improving lives of students left an indelible mark on countless young lives.
In addition to his professional achievements, Bill was a dedicated board member for organizations like the Light House for the Blind, Good Will Industries and SouthTech School. A man of faith, he was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in New Centerville, PA and later First Methodist Church in Boynton Beach, FL.
Bill cherished time spent fishing and boating on Yough Lake in Pennsylvania and the ocean. Above all he was a loving father to David Quinette and Pamela Kasten and a devoted grandfather to Ethan Kasten. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Emma Kay Quinette and his parents, Hazel and Bill Quinette.
A memorial service will be held in the summer in Pennsylvania. Donations may be made at the Sturgill House in Spring Hill, FL.
Bills legacy of love and dedication will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
