Gary Spurlock, 74, of Brooksville, Florida passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Virgil Spurlock and Mryl Jordan. Gary received a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Louisville. He worked as a Journeyman Tool and Dye Maker for General Electric, Martin Marietta and Spurlock Tool and Design. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and had a passion for learning, inventing, representing Santa, telling jokes and stories, doing magic, painting and jewelry designing. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents Virgil Spurlock, Myrl Jordan and brother Larry Spurlock.
He is survived by his children Lanna Bartz, Shannon Cleveland and Timothy (Tammy) Spurlock; siblings Granville “Pinky” (Teri) Spurlock, Anita Goldsmith, Sarah K. Barlett, Y. Denise Kicklighter, Verna Galluppo and Sheila (Mike) Mendez; grandchildren Marie Cleveland, Cheyenne Spurlock, Samantha Sirak, Lindsey Justice, Kiowa Bartz, Dylan Spurlock and William Bartz, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Larry’s Fish Camp 4385 South Bartlett Pt, Homosassa, FL 34448 on October 23, 2021 at 11am.
