Gerald Paul Plsek

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gerald “Jerry” Plsek, age 87 of Spring Hill, FL, who was reunited with his loved ones in heaven on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Jerry resided with his late wife, Judith “Judy” in Brooksville, FL; both were formerly from Dayton, OH.

Jerry was born on September 28, 1937 in Dayton, OH. Just shy of fifty years, he was able to share his birthday with his wife, Judy (Sept. 28, 1940). He graduated from Patterson CO-OP in Dayton, OH and became a tool and die maker in addition to becoming a master machinist for Delco Products. He retired from Delco in 1997 after a lifetime dedicated of service. Jerry and Judy relocated to Brooksville, Fl and were members of St. Anthony the Abbot Catholic Church.

Jerry was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, golfing, camping, and prioritized walking three miles daily. Above all he loved God and spending quality time with his family and friends. He enjoyed teaching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren about the outdoors and their first driving lessons in his golf cart. Jerry was family oriented, fun loving, happy, and will be dearly missed.

Welcoming Jerry to heaven, we are sure he was greeted with love by his wife, Judith “Judy” Plsek; his parents, Matthew J. and Helen M. (Kudelka) Plsek; brother, Robert E. Plsek; sister, Mary Ann Plsek; and his great-grandson, Blake M. Wright

Jerry is survived by his two daughters, Nancy (Shawn) Murphy of Waynesville, OH, and Karen (David) Grooms of Springfield, OH; six grandchildren, Carrie, Ashleigh (Eric), Adam (Bridget), Amy, Bryan, and Cory; ten great grandchildren, Jillian, Annabelle, Jacob, Ethan, Payton, Jameson, Logan, Lucas, Michael, and Vivian; and his niece Teri Lynn and nephew Matt.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 05, 2025 at St. Anthony the Abbot Catholic Church with his final resting place at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, Spring Hill, FL.
