

It is with love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harry (Poppy) Hunt, who departed this life peacefully on June 9th, 2025. He was 85 years old. Growing up in Hell's Kitchen, at the age of 17, Harry became a Marine. He owned his own home improvement company, Done Right. Harry was an accomplished artist, painter, musician, stained glass craftsman, and jack of all trades. Model train enthusiast. He was a Kairos prison volunteer for 29 years and Catholic service volunteer.
A devoted husband to his wife Anna of 62 years.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack, and sister-in-law in Millie.
Anna and Harry raised their three beautiful children, Harry Pio (deceased), Rosemarie Pia, Cathy Pia (Bret Fellows). His legacy continues through his five grandchildren Christina (Ray Santa- Cruz), Taylor Pia (Kara Hunt), Brandon, Alexis Pia, and Lauren and three great grandchildren Reeves, Rowan, and Penelope who filled his life with adventure and unconditional love. Harry shared a close bond with his extended family, including his cherished sisters-in-laws, Annette and Terry, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Harry was also blessed with abundance of friendships--some spanning decades, others formed through shared passions and adventures.Harry had a unique ability to make an impact on everyone he met.
A visitation for Harold will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7PM located at Turner Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. A visitation will occur Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St Joan of Arc Church, 13485 Spring Hill Dr, Spring Hill, FL 34609.
