We have lost a light of our life. Our beloved mother Jean B. Swanson passed. It was just a few short weeks ago that she lost the love of her life, our father, Richard. They had been happily married for 58 years. She was the best mother a family could have. When we were young, she was a stay-at-home mom who loved taking care of her family. Whether reading books, playing games, or fostering a love of learning, she was the heart and soul of our family. Throughout her life, she led by example – always giving of her time and compassion to family and friends alike. She showed her son and daughter and grandson the importance of appreciating the past but always looking to the future. In her last days, she took joy in talking to her grandson and his finance about the plans for their upcoming wedding. She touched many lives in her time here and she will be greatly missed.
