Jeanette S. Faylor

Jeanette Shaffer Faylor passed away peacefully at home on April 13, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born on August 24, 1921 in Franklin, Ohio, and was the youngest of four children. She was preceded in death by two of her four children, Elaine Faylor and Charlotte Osborne, and her husband, Ralph.

Jeanette led a life of helping others. She loved volunteering at Jericho Road Ministries, where she used her past experience as a library clerk to organize the thrift store’s massive book collection. On a similar note, it’d be rare to find her at home without a book in her hand. She spent hours in the library looking through the Western and Mystery sections for her next story to read.

But above all else, Jeanette’s greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. What started as getting her grandchildren off the school bus and watching them after school, turned into sitting in her pink chair in her later years, watching her great-grandkids run around and play. It’s these memories her family will cherish most.

She is survived by son Dale Faylor (Debbie), daughter Shirley Gimbel (Bruce), son-in-law Robert Osborne (Susan); grandchildren Michelle Price (Sean, daughter Harper), Traci Gimbel, Jennifer Gimbel, Erica Gimbel, Robert Osborne III (Julianna, daughter Charlotte, son Camden), David Osborne (Megan, daughter Peyton, sons Colson and Lincoln), Ryan Osborne (sons Mason and Nolan), Steven Osborne (Erika, daughter Brinley), Logan Faylor (daughter Amiah) and Jessica Faylor.

A private funeral service will be held on Monday for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jericho Road Ministries.
