John Edward Lynch Jr. aka “Johnny Smooth” of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on April 8, 2020 at the age of 52. He was born in Manhattan, New York on March 9th, 1968. Johnny graduated from Sachem High School (Lake Grove, New York) in 1987. Johnny worked at Accuform Manufacturing and was a beloved member of The Arc Nature Coast. Johnny had a passion for playing his drums, playing his harmonica, listening to all genres of music, particularly “the 80s”, and The Dukes of Hazzard. As beautifully put by his long-time friend and roommate, Joey, “John Lynch was the best guy in all of Hazzard County.”
Johnny was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, as he had the most genuine and loving soul. Johnny adored his family and friends. He is survived by his loving mother, Angela Lynch, his sisters, Anne McHugh and Christine Jarque, his nephews and nieces, Gregory Jarque, Rita Jarque, Zackary Jarque, Emily McHugh, and Shane McHugh, as well as his brothers-in-law Jimmy McHugh and Greg Jarque.
The family is holding private services during this time of Social Distancing at Turner Funeral Home in Spring Hill, Florida on April 16th at 1:00PM. Directly following, Johnny will be laid to rest at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
