John Patrick McCaffrey

John “Mac” McCaffrey went to our Lord May 18, 2016. He leaves behind a wife Brigitte and his dog Molly. He was the son of Jerry and Evelynn “Tubby” McCaffrey. John had 4 sisters Fay Barreca, Northbrook, IL, Kathleen McCaffrey, Chicago, IL, Jean (Rick) Troxel, Demming, NM, Maureen (Joe) Tyberghein, Spring Hill, FL and two brothers Jerry (Anne), Longmont, CO and Donald (Shannon), Loveland, CO. He was the Pied Piper to all children especially his grandchildren (Derek, Dylan, Conner, and Cloe). “Uncle Smiley” will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews (Chris, Steve, Todd, Ryan, John, Katie, Jerry, Molly, Jake, Keegan, Kylie, Bailey, and Ty. John moved to Spring Hill in 2001 to help take care of his mother Tubby where he would meet and marry Brigitte in May of 2009. John was a former teamster in the Chicago area. He started working for BETER Concrete shortly after moving to Florida. He would later meet Bob Beemish and begin working for Food Parade a wholesale food supplier to restaurants in the Tampa Bay area. John loved the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. His favorite pastime was playing the many golf courses found in the western Florida area. He enjoyed visits from friends and family and would spend his time showing them the sites and best eating places in our area.
