Kenneth, better known as Smiley, went to be with his wife Sandy, brothers Bobby and Dicky, and his Mom and Dad on May 18, 2023. Smiley was born in Rockland, Massachusetts, on
August 27, 1940, to Jimmy and Doris Lyons. Smiley retired as a Chief from the U.S. Navy after serving thirty years. He is survived by his daughters, Alice Lyons and Bonnie Norman, and Husband, Richard Norman; youngest son, Richard Lyons, and wife, Jessica Lyons, all of Brooksville, FL and eldest son, Joe Lyons, and wife, Sherry Lyons of Norfolk, VA; grandchildren, Kristen Lyons and husband Jared, Sarah Norman, Kenneth Michael Lyons II and wife Jessica Lyons, Paul Lyons and Maurissa Steppe U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Fort Sill Oklahoma, brothers Jimmy Lyons, John Lyons, Arthur Lyons, Danny Lyons, sister Millie “Lyons” Batten and sister-in-law Nancy of Scotland and many great-grandchildren.
Those who knew Smiley knew his heart was much bigger than the world we live in, and he showed that to friends and family every day he spent with us. Dad, you are free to sail the seven seas as you did in life and will do in the afterlife. We love you, and kiss Mom for us when you get there.
