Lorraine Allain was born July 1, 1927 in Willimantic, CT to Donat and Alexandrina Gadoury, the sixth of eight children. She married Bernard Allain on May 22, 1948 and they raised five children together. On April 29, 1972 she symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God by getting baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty-three years in December 2001 and by her daughter Mary in July 1994. She is survived by her son Luke Allain and his wife Tammy of Spring Hill, Florida; son Jonathan Allain and his wife Suzy of Tallahassee, Florida; daughter Bonnie Allain of Mansfield, CT; daughter Tina White and her husband Pete of Danielson, CT; and grandchildren Abbey and Rob Gagnon. Lorraine was a spiritual woman, an enthusiastic student of the Bible, and a faithful and loyal Witness of Jehovah. She set an excellent example of steadfast reliance on God and endurance in the face of many trials. On the last day of her life she began her day with a reading of the day’s text, as was her spiritual routine. We truly can, with eyes of faith, see her in “a world that is new” when she and her dear husband and daughter are all awakened from death. We’re confident she will join all of us in praising our loving God, Jehovah.
