Jane was born in Anacostia, Washington D.C. She was the second oldest daughter of five Flanagan children.
Jane spent her early years traveling with her beloved husband Bill, while he served a career in the U.S. Navy. During these years she raised four children, Alex Walmsley of Homosassa, FL, Edith Grill of Norwich, CT, Donna DeGaspe Beaubien and Scot Walmsley (deceased). Jane has eight grandchildren and four great granddaughters.
Jane and Bill relocated to Florida in 1997 from Connecticut, and she formed the Brookridge "EZ Does It" Exercise Club, where she led and taught for more than a decade. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society and the Brookridge Garden Club. Jane and Bill enjoyed the sun and lounging by the pool and Pine Island Beach. Jane designated herself as the family photographer, always ready to document the occasion with a picture!
A Celebration of Life service for Jane will be held from 11-1PM on November 4th, 2023 at Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, Florida. An inurnment and graveside service will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
