Lisa and I were sad to hear about Neil. It was a real shock to us, as he was doing well.  We have known Neil and Mary since August 1995 when they moved into a house two houses away from us in Rainbow Woods. We had many great times over the years with parties, BBQ’s, etc. When they moved to Wellington in 2020 there was less contact but still kept in touch. Neil had a humorous attitude and very funny with his comments and jokes. He did have a serious side too. He helped me get through a sad period in my life. He was a best friend and I will miss him very much. God Bless you, Neil and your family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Chip and I always like to talk with him.

I got to know Neil later in life through my grandparents Leo and Rita Faneuf in Florida. Neil and my father were close as cousins growing up. When I did get to know him in my thirties he made me laugh like no other. My Condolences to Mary, Chris, and the rest of the family.

I will always remember Neil as a man with a great sense of humor and a real showman. He loved entertaining especially with his imitations of celebrities. He was, in fact, a Master of ceremony at my 40th birthday party celebration. He had many talents, including writing, and I was very honored when he dedicated his first published book to me. Neil had a pleasant personality and was very well liked in our family.
God rest his soul and bless his Family.

From Chuck and Britta Mansfield, we met Neal  & Mary not quite four years ago when we moved to the Wellington.  We hit it off right away, Both Neal and I owned Corvettes so we had a conversation. I loved getting together with him and hearing his stories about his time on the police force and loved his impressions. He loved his family and especially his wife Mary.  We will miss our conversations and dinners together.  You will never be forgotten, you will always be in our hearts.

Neil will always have a special place in our hearts.  We only knew him for a short time but he made a huge impact on us. We connected immediately when we learned we went to the same high school. Hicksville.  Then only to find out he served on the Nassau county P.D with our brother Lou. His love for Merlot with a tall glass of ice will be honored at the bar and grill.  He will be missed terribly.

I had the pleasure of working with Neil for several years at the Sheriff’s Office. As a young deputy, I looked up to him as a senior officer who was still running around and arresting people as a warrants Detective. One of my favorite memories with him was after a while of working together, he asked me if I knew a certain person. When I told him the person he was asking about was my grandfather, he shared how my grandfather trained him when he was a young officer. My grandfather passed away when I was young, and I had never met anyone who knew him; so, it was great to hear stories about him. Neil was a good man, and I’m very sorry for your loss.

Bud and I are so very sorry to hear this sad news. We lived across the street from Neil and Mary for 5 years.. We became very close.. Neil was a great guy, who made everyone laugh.. always with the jokes. We had some fun times together. He will be greatly missed by many people.. Rest in Peace Neil and keep them on their toes up there!!!

Sorry to hear about the death of Neil.

I worked with him for over 20 years and had a lot of laughs and good times with him.
What a nice man and I  will remember him as Guido Sarducci when he use to roast people at their retirement party. What a character.

Neil will always have a special place in our hearts.He truly was a great friend  father and most of all a loving husband to Mary . We will always cherish all the memories we have and there will always be a void in our lives We are so grateful we got to spend some time with him when they came up to NY all we did was reminisce and had a lot of laughs.Rest in peace our dear friend we love and will always miss you❤️

Cathy and I are so saddened by Neil's unexpected passing. We always enjoyed seeing him at the car club meetings and car shows. Although we only knew Neil for a few short years, it was obvious to us what a good person he was and what a great husband he was  to Mary.  He will truly be missed and we will always remember that smiling face driving his Corvette in the 4th of July parade.  I'm sure he's in heaven looking down on us all right now and very proud of what he accomplished in life especially as a deputy with the HCSO. God bless you Neil and please help Mary through this sad time.
