

Patricia O. Escoffery was born on September 8, 1940, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Alfred Richards and Violet Thompson. She completed her education in Kingston, Jamaica before later moving to New York with her husband Alvin Escoffery and her children. During her time in New York, she worked in the healthcare industry for many years.
Patricia enjoyed writing, singing, dancing, and gardening. She was an avid church member of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ while in New York, and New Hope Missionary Baptist Church during her time in Florida. However, her greatest pride and joy was raising her family. She was a kind and gentle soul who loved each and every one of her seven children dearly, along with her beloved dogs.
Patricia leaves to cherish her loving memories with her daughter, Ann Marie, and her sons, Anthony Sr., Maurice, Devon Sr., and Rudolph. She is also lovingly remembered by her daughters-in-law, Wanda, Rose, and Norma.
Some of Patricia’s most treasured moments were spent with her grandchildren: Jason, Tiffany, TJ, DJ, Ashley, Akil, Gabrielle, Racquel, Isaiah, AJ, Elijah, and Mariah. She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren: Osceanna, Kylee, Jade, Kilani, Kingston, Madison, Maverick, Hannah and great-great-grandchild Alani, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Patricia was preceded by her mother Violet, her father Alfred, her sister Cath, late husband Alvin, her daughter Stephanie, Son Gary, and Grandson Kevin.
Patricia Escoffery will be remembered for her strength, grace, leadership, and unwavering commitment to, family, and community. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire generations to come.
Patricia Escoffery entered eternal rest on February 24, 2026, in Brooksville, Florida. The Escoffery family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Brooksville Healthcare Center in Brooksville, Florida, for their care and support during her final days.
