Randy was born October 12, 1956 in Columbus, OH and graduated from Grove City High School in Grove City, OH. He married Sharon Lynn Scott on February 14, 2003.
Randy was in ROTC in High School. One summer, he volunteered and was learning how to become a Horse Jockey before he grew too tall. He was very proud to work at Franklin County Courthouse in Columbus, Ohio as Data Entry straight out of High school. Randy had a career in the Navy as a 3rd Class Petty Officer and Radioman Operator for 8 years. He entered the Navy Reserves in 2002. He was deployed to London, England as a Master Arms and ranked as MA3. Randy enjoyed being a Music DJ as a young man. He was a Certified Corrections Officer in the State of Florida. Randy also held a CDL License and drove over the road as a Semi-Truck Driver. He also drove for The BUS transit for Hernando County and drove tour buses in Ohio. He spent his last years as a Tow Truck Driver for Sam’s Wrecker Service. Randy also was a part of the Security Team for Grace World Outreach Church years ago, where he was also baptized.
Randy had a true passion for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team and band. He also loved dancing, watching car races, and was a movie buff. Randy did enjoy fishing once in a while. No one told stories and jokes quite like Randy did. He loved teasing the grandkids that they needed to be good, or he would sell them to the pigmies. This is one of their favorite memories. He absolutely loved making his famous fried chicken and homemade french fries for family and friends. He used to say, “if Colonel Sanders tasted my fried chicken, then he would have been a General.” One of his favorite things was being with his family.
