Roderick “Ricky” Pienkos, 73, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and Kathleen Pienkos. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Spring Hill. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Patricia Pienkos; brothers Bruce (Maria), Michael and Timmy (Linda) Pienkos; sisters in law; Kathleen (Stan) Kroman, Eileen(Greg) Curtis and brother in law Kevin(Kathleen) Roche. He is also survived by 9 nieces, 3 nephews, 5 great nieces and 8 great nephews.
Ricky was a goodhearted man who helped many people in his capacity as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor working for the Hernando County Mental Health Center as well as The Harbor which eventually took over the Mental Health Center. He was instrumental in being on the ground floor of working within the court system and was an integral part of Drug Court in Hernando County.
Donations in his honor greatly appreciated to HPH Hospice in Hernando County.
Visitation 4-8PM Tuesday, July 9th with a prayer service at 7PM located at Turner Funeral Home. Funeral mass 9:30AM Wednesday, July 10th at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens in Spring Hill.
