

Sharon I. Rose “Mama Rose”, age 67 of Spring Hill (Silverthorn), Florida died on Monday, July 7, 2014, at Oak Hill Hospital. Sharon was born to the late Vernon and Emma (Toohey) Miller, in Louisville, Kentucky, on May 26, 1947. A 21 year resident of Spring Hill, Fl., with the last 9 years living in Silverthorn. Sharon was a retired Bank Manager for Compass Bank in Spring Hill, serving in both the Forest Oaks Blvd., and Mariner Blvd. branches. She was an Assistant Cheerleader Coach at Springstead High School and had just earned her first Varsity Letter, and she was also very involved as a Cheer Mom at Nature Coast High School as well, supporting her daughter Ashley in all levels of cheerleading and dance. As a dance mom with Ashley she was very active at Erin Danceworks. Sharon was hugely involved in all the school activities including dance, football, and cheerleading. Sharon was an avid football fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, she just loved her football. She loved to go antique hunting, and with her husband they were antique dealers at the Lyon’s Head Antique Store in Port Richey. Sharon was Christian by faith and was attending services at the Crosspoint Church, held at Challenger K-8, in Spring Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Emma (Toohey) Miller. She is survived by her loving family including her husband, Richard Rose of Spring Hill, FL., son Rob Whitlow and his wife Julie, of Seymour, IN., son Jason Rose and his wife Chrystal, of Spring Hill, Fl., and daughter, Ashley Rose, of Spring Hill, Fl., Also survived by grandson William Whitlow and granddaughter, Hannah Whitlow, both of Seymour, IN., and grandson, Jonas Rose, of Spring Hill, Fl., along with sister, Jo Ann Jackson and husband Richard, of Louisville, KY. Family and friends will gather at the Turner Funeral Home, 504 East Jefferson Street, Brooksville, FL., 34601 on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 6-8 PM. The funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Reverend Wayne Cordova of the Crosspoint Church in Spring Hill will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Sharon’s family strongly requests donations to the American Cancer Society, 21754 State Road 54, Ste 101, Lutz, FL., 33549, in Lieu of flowers.
