She was born in Nashville, TN to Major Key and Elisa Mary Carter. She was married to Daniel Dunn on June 9th. Shirley and her husband owned and operated a Barber Shop, and then she was a homemaker. She had a passion for gardening and crafting.
She was predeceased by Peggy Key, Joyce Key, Homer Key, Terry McAdams, Christopher Knipfer, Curtis Knipfer, and Jeffrey Knipfer.
She was survived by son Tracy Knipfer, grandchildren Patrick McAdams, Eric McAdams, Crystal Knipfer, Nathan Knipfer, Amanda Knipfer, 10 great grandchildren and brother Vernon Key.
