Thomas Bandow was born in Northbrook, Illinois on November 11th, 1930. Tom received a scholarship for basketball and football. He went 4 years to the University of Wyoming. He then enlisted for the Korean War where he did his service in Korea. He was married to Barbara on September 21st 1954. His first job was selling pharmaceuticals at Lederly. For his second job he sold heat shields for the Apollo space ship. After this he worked for 20 years on the Illinois Tollway plowing snow and helping stranded drivers that were fighting blizzards. Thomas lived on the Glenview IL Naval Airbase for 1 year when he moved to Bartlett, Illinois. Tom started Pee Wee football for young boys, aged 8 to 16, in Bartlett (Bartlett Raiders). He retired to Florida in 2001 and was a member of V.F.W. and American Legion. Tom and Barbara have 4 loving children Burt, Rene, Brian and Brad. Thomas also has 6 grandchildren Valerie, Cindy, Britt, Matt, Mica and Levi.
