The world lost a true gentleman when Walter passed away on August 20, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, calm strength, and quiet cool.
Born to Walter and Victoria Wilk, Walt grew up surrounded by a big, lively family. Though he later said goodbye to his parents and his siblings Hank, Sophie, Stella, and Mildred, their bond shaped the loyal, grounded man he became.
For 31 years, he shared his life with his beloved wife, Linda, who was his partner in love. He was the proud father of his daughter, Kristin, and the adoring grandfather of Riley and Ruby, who will forever carry his gentle spirit forward. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Barbara and Marian, who will cherish the many memories only siblings can share.
Known to many as “Mr. Cool,” Walt had a calm and steady presence that made people feel at ease. Whether casting a line into quiet waters, perfecting his golf swing, or going for a Dairy Queen in his beloved 1964 Corvette Stingray, he approached life with patience, joy, and style.
He leaves behind a circle of family and friends who will miss his easy smile, his steady wisdom, and his way of making life feel a little lighter just by being there. His was evidence of a life well-lived, a life of grace, kindness and love.
Though his absence leaves an ache in the hearts of those who loved him, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the calm he brought, and the love he shared.
