Adrienne S. Rubinstein, 88, of Pearl River, beloved wife of the late Walter Rubinstein passed away peacefully on the evening of May 7th, 2025. Born December 26, 1936, she was the daughter of Charles and Miriam Posner.
She was a beloved wife, sister, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her four sons and their spouses Jeffrey and Marylou of Mt. Kisco, NY, Michael and Jill of Ballston Spa, NY, Gregg of New York, NY, Jason and Amy of Mt. Kisco, NY. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Adam, Max, Carlie, Maya, and Ian. As well as her brother Stephen Posner and wife Roz Kern.
She met the love of her life, Walter, at New Paltz Teachers College and they were married shortly after and both started work in the Westchester school systems. Shortly after, she retired from teaching to raise her family. When all her boys were grown, she eventually returned to the workforce in Singers "Friendly" Pharmacy on Central Avenue in Pearl River for over 20 years until it closed.
Always involved in community, she served in the sisterhood of the Nanuet Hebrew Center (Temple Shir Shalom) and was ever present singing in the choir. She was always there for her family, friends and neighbors, and will be sorely missed by all. However, her spirit will live on in all the good things that her sons and grandchildren bring to this world.
Burial will be at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemeteries in Paramus, NJ. Honorary donations to organizations that she supported:

3. Friends of Fresh and Green Academy - a school for underprivileged children in Ethiopia
