

Mrs. Korn was born in Brooklyn on Sept. 11, 1925. She was the daughter of Samuel and Mollie Rosch. She was raised in the Bronx and graduated from Hunter College in 1947 with a degree in social work. After graduation from Hunter, her work involved helping Holocaust survivors resettle in New York City.
Mrs. Korn married Murray L. Korn on Jan. 22, 1950. Mr. Korn was the founding partner of the accounting firm Korn Rosenbaum LLP and a director of Provident Savings & Loan Association, now Provident Bank. Mr. and Mrs. Korn lived for many years in New City and most recently lived in Nyack.
Mrs. Korn was a caring and attentive wife, mother and grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Korn and her husband were founding members of the New City Jewish Center and dedicated members of the congregation throughout their lives. She traveled widely, enjoyed classical music, and loved to cook for her family.
Mrs. Korn's husband, Murray, died in 2007. She is survived by her three children, Rachel Korn Wasserman of Dobbs Ferry, Risa Korn of Waban, Mass., and Morton Korn of Upper Nyack; her seven grandchildren, Aaron, David, Benjamin, Melanie, Nina, Samuel and Hannah; her son-in-law, Steven Wasserman, and her daughter-in-law, Kim Coons; a large extended family and many friends.
The funeral will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, at the New City Jewish Center, 47 Old Schoolhouse Road, New City. Interment will follow at the Congregation Sons of Jacob Cemetery in Haverstraw.
