Two years tomorrow since her passing, i miss her so much!  Barbara is someone we will never forget.  She was such a warm friend, with an infinitely generous soul - and what a pleasure when she shared her genuine smile!  She made us better people...  Always in my heart -

Hello to all ! 

The Spector family! My name is Michelle and I cared for the boys when they were young!  I learned to drive using your Cadillac and enjoyed your family so much.  Barbara was a colorful and loving woman, she taught me so much! 

May her spirit surround us all and bring to us that belly laughter that seemed so infectious in her presence.

You will always be remembered, Barbara! Your passing was so sudden, we never had that ‘get-together’ with grands that we always talked about.  I’ll miss our chats about our little grandkids.
You have a special place in our hearts.  You will be missed dearly.  

Devastated, shocked when I learned of your passing.  Barbara, since Matt and Steven became best buds in 5th grade, I have loved you as my good bud and also as Matt's second mother.  You were such a special presence in the lives of these preteens, teens and adults!  And my mom loved when you and Sammy would come to visit and brighten her days with your sparkle and her special ice cream.  Remember the great pumpkin blaze we four went to?  What an amazing display of thousands of lighted, sculpted pumpkins.  Never, ever will I forget what you and Sammy did for me after Tom's passing - you helped me through the worst days.  Barbara and Tom are having a gabfest now! Stay close...


Sammy, I am devastated and so very sorry to hear about Barbara. She was truly such a loving person and whenever we had our visits I really cherished them. I will certainly miss her smiling face.  One of my fondest memories of her was how much she loved. My grandma Fannie. She never missed her birthday with a phone call a card and flowers. We will all keep her beautiful memories in our hearts forever. Sending lots of hugs to you and your entire family.

Dear Sammy,
I am beyond sorry to have learned of Barbara's passing.  We shared many fun times together as teenagers. Her Sweet 16 was the absolute best!! While our lives took us down different roads,  you both left a permanent and beautiful imprint on my heart. May you and your family find comfort, as time goes by, in the many wonderful memories (a few of which I saw in the photos posted) and may Barbara rest in eternal peace.

I met Barbara and Sammy in 1972. Sam and I were college roommates and Barbara became my best friend. 50 years 
later we spoke several times a year. Barbara always asked about my family at the beginning of every phone call. I’d say “ how are you, Sammy and the boys” she’d say we’re fine now tell me how  is?”; and she'd ask about every member of my family. Always putting others first. She’d remember every birthday and anniversary. She loved her family and was so proud of her sons and granddaughters. She was such a giving person and adored Sammy from the day they met. When Sammy called to say that Barbara had passed, I cried on the phone to Sammy saying that I couldn’t believe she was gone and my 
tremendous sorrow for him , Louis and Steven. She will live on in the hears and souls of every person who knew her. My prayers to her entire family. We all lost a wonderful person 🙏

Barbara was a kind soul and a bright light for all of us lucky enough to know her. She will be deeply missed. While there are no words to console, our hearts and thoughts are with her family now.

To Sammy and Family:
Barbara meant a great deal to me.  I always looked forward to seeing her when I visited my family in Englewood.  Although we were not cousins by blood, she was a cousin via Sammy and in my heart.  May her beautiful soul live on forever in our memories of her.
