Jesse was a beloved son, brother, husband, uncle, and friend. He was a performer even before he learned to walk, and he always loved to make people smile and laugh. He took up figure skating at a young age, and became an accomplished competitive skater. His other great artistic love was music, and he pursued that with the same drive as he pursued skating. He played piano and guitar at a professional level, and had a knack for picking up other instruments with ease. Jesse was always working on music projects, whether writing and recording his own songs, collaborating with other friends, or playing in bands, and he was a talented producer and engineer. He wrote music for films, and his work won awards in Europe.
He was opinionated and strong-willed, with endless perseverance, and an ability to commit fully to things that he was passionate about. He had an infectious laugh and sense of humor, whether in witty banter, clever observations, or absurdist wordplay.
Jesse was deeply kind-hearted, perceptive, and generous. It seemed like everybody liked him from all walks of life, and he had a way of making friends out of strangers. Whatever else was going on, if you needed Jesse, he would show up. He loved deeply, loyally, and tenderly. He wasn’t afraid to say the hard thing that you needed to hear, or the loving thing that would help make things better. If Jesse loved you, he loved all of you, and he would make sure you knew it.
He will be dearly, dearly missed.
