Martha Goldman

Born on January 12, 1932, in Antwerp, Belgium, Martha and her immediate family left Belgium at the beginning of WWII, arriving at Ellis Island in October, 1940.

Martha grew up in Manhattan, and attended Hunter High School, followed by Hunter College, where she studied dietetics. While working as a dietitian at Montefiore Hospital, she met her future husband, Arthur Goldman, a dental intern at the hospital. The couple married, settling in the Bronx, and subsequently moving to Rockland County in 1969. Martha was living in New City at the time of her death.

She was predeceased by her parents Kaufman and Celine (Steinfeld) Lebendiger, her siblings Harry Lebendiger and Ann Klipper, and her husband Arthur. She is survived by her children Erik Goldman and Karin Goldman (Patrick Brosnan)

Funeral Service will be held at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977, on April 14, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Interment will take place at Mount Nebo Cemetery, Taunton, MA 02780, on April 16, 2026, at 11:00 am.
