Michael moved to Rockland County in 1961, where he met his wife of 53 years, Iris. Together, they welcomed two daughters and later granddaughters into the family, whom all grew up nearby in New City.
Michael worked in financial budgeting within the insurance industry. In his free time, he enjoyed working out, reading, doing crossword puzzles, rooting for his favorite sports teams including the New York Knicks, listening to music such as the Beach Boys, and spending time with his loved ones.
Michael is survived by his wife Iris, daughters Jaclyn and Dara, granddaughters Sara, Hailey, Sophia, and Dylan, and sister Lynne Sharon-Schwartz.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 4, 2026, 10:45 am at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652.
