It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Londa, aged 82. Rita is survived by Howard, her loving husband of 62 years, her children Bruce, Jill and Eric, their spouses Judy, John and Ilyssa, and her seven grandchildren Emma, Abby, Jacob, Julia, Adam, Aidan and Ava. Rita was an outstanding student, graduating from Bronx High School of Science and Hunter College. She was an avid Scrabble player and crossword solver, and was a gifted piano player. Along with Howard, she traveled the globe, visiting all seven continents. Rita will be fondly remembered for her warmth, humor, intelligence and beauty, and for her unrelenting perseverance.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977. Interment will follow at Congregation Sons of Israel Cemetery, Route 306 & Brick Church Road, New Hempstead, NY 10977.
