Adam was preceded in death by his mother. He attended Springboro and Centerville Schools until graduation in 2004.
He is survived by his father, Stephen and step mother Kathleen, a sister Lauren (Douglas) Robbins and two nephews, Clayton and William.
Adam loved people and had an outgoing personality. He won them over with his charm, and readily introduced himself to servers at restaurants, check-out clerks at stores and asked them their names. He often was the “official greeter” at family gatherings.
Adam was empathetic, loving, sweet and silly, with a great sense of humor. He loved his sister and brother-in-law very much. Adam was gentle with his nephews when they were babies and toddlers, and loved seeing them as often as possible as they’ve grown. He was sentimental about holidays, especially Christmas.
Adam loved music. He could “name that tune” with the best of them, especially 60’s, 70’s and 80’s rock. He especially enjoyed Christmas music and it was not unusual for him to sing Christmas songs all year long!
Adam loved food. He looked forward to every meal, but especially cheeseburgers and pizza.
Despite the challenges Adam encountered, he enjoyed experiencing daily life, and spending time with family and friends. He loved posing for pictures and was a first-rate bingo player. He was also able to take part in some especially meaningful experiences. As a teenager, Adam traveled to Switzerland and France with his family, and as an adult enjoyed a cruise in the Caribbean with staff and clients of Foundations Care Facility.
There are many people who contributed to enriching Adam’s life, especially the friends he made in his group home, the staff of Foundations, and special friends and caregivers throughout his life. We are deeply grateful for their care and love, and consider them to be a part of his extended family.
Adam’s dedicated teachers and special education support staff in the Springboro and Centerville school districts provided excellent life skill lessons for Adam during his school years.
Additionally, we want to thank the many medical specialists and staff who cared for Adam over the years, and to staff at Bella Care Hospice for their compassion in keeping Adam comfortable during his final days.
A Celebration of Adam’s Life will take place on April 20, 2022 at The Anderson Life Celebration Center, 360 Commerce Center Dr., Franklin Ohio from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
Condolences may be made to the family at www.anderson-fh.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by check to Foundations, 7739 U.S. 40 New Paris, OH 45347.
