

Clara Lou (Hough) Stanfield, age 90, of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Hospice of Dayton. Clara was born in Dayton, OH on July 23, 1932, to the late Forrest James and Clara Viola (Roessler) Hough.
Clara was a graduate of Springboro High School class of 1950 and was Class Valedictorian. Clara Lou had unshakable faith and an incredible sacrificial love for her children and grandchildren and was an uplifting friend to many. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kettering. Clara Lou co-founded Ridgeville Christian Pre-School in 1967 and went on to be the Pre-School and Daycare Administrator at Dayton Christian School. She resided in Florida for 18 years before moving back to the area.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Clarence Stanfield; her son, Eric Allan Douglas; her brother, James Lavene Hough; her sister, Carlean (Hough) Ault. Clara is survived by her loving friend, Robert Schubert; son, Russell Anthony (Jodie) Douglas; her daughter, Ruth Annette (Mark) Mosher; Lucinda (Cindy) Kay (Dave) Wildermuth; her grandsons, Ben, Nick, and Dalton Douglas, Ethan (Courtney) Grob, Luke, Simon, and Samuel Gurekovich, Austin Douglas, Joseph, and Samuel Mosher, her granddaughter, Whitney Douglas (Daniel) Marvin; three great-grandchildren, August and Campbell Grob and Layla Marvin; her two step-grandchildren, David (Joan) Mosher, Molly Mosher; and two step-great-grandchildren, Griffin and Molly Mosher.
Funeral Services are 12 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St Springboro, OH with Pastor Brian Kershaw officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 am to 12 pm at the funeral home.
