

Daniel Vernon Baker, 32 of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 28, 2020. He was born at Miami Valley Hospital on December 18, 1987. Daniel was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 2006 where he was a Varsity letterman in baseball and football. He attended The Ohio State University and Miami University Middletown where he played a year of baseball.
He is survived by his loving mother, Lynn Baker; sister, Jeniffer (Brandon) Grodi and their children, Addy and Johnny; daughter, Hudsyn Baker; fiancé, Kelly Penny; grandmother, Carole Kunz; aunt, Leslie (Matt) Reynolds and their children, Garrett, Cole, Heidi; uncles, Steve (Sandy) Kunz, Mike (Clarann) Kunz, and James Baker; half-sister, Heather Baker Harphant; cousins; many friends; his beloved dog, Derby; and cats, Ringer and Peaches.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Baker; grandparents, Jack & Betty Baker; grandfather, Vernon Kunz; and uncle, Danny Baker.
Daniel was an avid Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cincinnati Reds fan. He loved spending time fishing with his father. He enjoyed cooking, loved grilling for his mom and fiancé, and watching sporting events together. His greatest joy was his daughter, and he lit up with the biggest smile when watching her. Daniel was a charmer with his blue eyes, and had a heart of gold, always helping others.
He is now at peace and is finally reunited with his father.
Daniel's family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 N. Main St. Springboro, OH. A memorial service will be at the funeral home Saturday at 12:00 PM with Dan Flory officiating.
