Edward A. Ramps, Jr.

Edward Andrew Ramps, Jr., age 78, of Springboro, Ohio passed away at Kettering Hospital on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Edward was born October 26, 1945 in Uniontown PA, to the late Velma (Czekanski) and Edward Andrew Ramps Sr.

Edward is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Priscilla B. (Peacock) Ramps who he married on March 7, 1968; His four children, Tysha (Michael) Gasser, Sandra (Kevin) McCarty, Eddie (Shannon) Ramps, and Jeremy Ramps; His eight grandchildren, Chelsea (Jason) Ballard, Brooke (Ethan) White, Kailee (Bryant) Morton, Lyndsee Ramps, Molliee Ramps, Kaylee Gasser, Quinn Ramps, and Jordan Ramps; His eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald Ramps, Larry (Helen) Ramps, and Gary Ramps; aunt Mickey Patrick and uncle Bill McIntyre.

Edward was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, OH. Following graduation Edward joined the United States Air Force where he was honorably discharged after serving four years. He then worked as a Superintendent at General Motors where he retired from after 38 years. Edward was also a devout member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish. He had a variety of passions and hobbies including being a 3rd degree black belt and teaching for 20 years and an avid and passionate bike rider for 50 years.

Visitation for Edward will be held Thursday August 15, 2024 from 5-7pm at Anderson Funeral Home located at 1357 E 2nd St Franklin, OH 45005. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Friday August 16, 2024 at at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish which is located at 9579 Yankee Rd, Springboro, OH 45066 followed by burial at Springboro Cemetery.
