

Gavin A Mouat - loving husband, proud father, beloved son, treasured brother, and loyal friend - passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and family on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 55 during his courageous battle with Melanoma.
Gavin was born February 3, 1969 in Kettering, Ohio to Dr. Thomas and Ann Mouat. The third of four children, Gavin graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1987 and obtained his bachelors degree from Franklin University.
He had a successful IT career with diverse experiences at O’Neil & Associates, GE Aviation, Honda, Atos, CBTS, SoftwareONE, and Cognizant. He enjoyed working with the many colleagues he met along the way.
While his work was important, Gavin always put his family first. He married Cindy, his devoted wife of 14 years, in 2010. His three boys - Garin, Tyler, and Greyson and puppy, Todd, were the light of his life. He coached their youth sports and encouraged their music passions. Gavin also enjoyed sharing his love for history, music, trivia, Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State football, and Arsenal soccer with his family and friends. He was an avid reader immersed in several novels and TV shows simultaneously.
Gavin is survived by his wife, Cindy and children: Garin, Tyler and Greyson. He is also survived by his parents, Tom and Ann Mouat; sisters, Andrea Mouat and Jennifer (Mike) Laughman; brother, Tom Mouat Jr.; parents-in-law, Charles and Margaret Thoma; brother-in-law, Dave Thoma; and sister-in-law, Cara (Keith) Ungurait. He will also be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held Friday, January 10th at 4:00PM with a memorial service immediately following at 6:00PM at Anderson Funeral Home - 40 North Main Street Springboro, OH 45066.
