Jane Marie Blackson

Jane Marie (Kosater) Blackson, age 68, of Miamisburg passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born on September 17, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dr. Norbert L. and Ruth H. (Rentzsch) Kosater. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Joseph M. Kosater.

Jane is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Tony Oriti, Jill and Ben Dawson; two sisters, Carolyn “Corky” (Dr. Clyde) Watson, Susan Jean (Douglas) Lytle; a brother, Matthew John (Debra) Kosater; 5 grandchildren, Abbigail, Charlotte and Brooks Dawson, Isabella and Dominic Oriti and a great-grandson, Lewis Alspaugh. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Jane was a graduate of Alter High School, Class of 1972 and received an Associate Degree in Medical Secretarial in 1974. Returning to school, she attained an Associate Degree in Arts with Honors from Sinclair College in 2017, where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, Nu Pi Chapter. Jane was a recipient of the Burrell R. Roberts Purchase Award at the 2018 Fine Art Student Exhibition. She was awarded membership to The Dayton Society of Artists and The Dayton Visual Arts Center. Jane was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and was employed by Dayton Children’s Hospital as a Medical Office Coordinator for the pediatric orthopedic surgeons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Avenue, Riverside, Ohio 45431. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Kettering, Ohio.

The family will receive visitors at the Anderson Funeral Home - Springboro Chapel, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, Ohio on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 2:00-5:00 p.m.
