Tobey Ann Clifford, born on December 18, 1946, in Middletown, Ohio to the late Reverend Glyn and Mary White (Rose), and passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 78. A resident of Franklin, Ohio, Tobey was a cherished member of her community and family.
Tobey graduated from Franklin High School, setting the foundation for a life dedicated to her family and career. She worked for Miami Luken until her retirement in 2004.
Tobey was married for 59 years to her beloved husband, Thomas H. Clifford, who preceded her in death in February 2024. She was a devoted mother to Jamie Clifford, who is deceased. Tobey was also preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters-in-law, Ella Mae Neff, Mary Morton, and Betty White.
Tobey is survived by her daughter, Ginger Clifford - Cox (Michael Moorehouse), and son, Thomas Clifford II; and extended daughter, April Willoughby. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Zachary Clifford, Skylar Cox, Jamison Clifford, Bryson, and Carsyn, as well as her great-grandsons, Oliver, and Tristan Clifford. She is survived by her sisters, Cheryleen Copas and Janie Hodges (Timothy), and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Sue (Roger) Minton, Benita (John) Spencer, Bill Clifford, Gary Clifford, and Gary White. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will dearly miss her presence.
Tobey enjoyed watching the University of Michigan football, a pastime that brought her much joy and camaraderie with fellow fans.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff of Hospice of Butler Warren Counties for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice in honor of Tobey Clifford.
A visitation for Tobey will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, OH 45066. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm with Pastors Jeff and Mike Tibbs.
Tobey will be laid to rest at Springboro Cemetery.
