

It is with infinite sadness and love that we say farewell to Aaron Armstrong Bowles, 37 years young. He is survived by his parents, David and Glenda Bowles of Springfield; siblings, Nicholas (wife, Mary Ann) Bowles of Springfield; Anne Marie Bowles (husband, Ben Schmitt) of Tucson, AZ; niece, Hailey Bowles; uncle, Norlan Dresel of Campbell Hill, IL; seven cousins and a wealth of 13 extended brothers. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marie and Frank Pauli; his maternal grandparents, Nico and Esther Dresel; and his uncle, Frank Pauli. Aaron was born September 27, 1977 in Springfield, the son of David and Glenda Dresel Bowles. He was a graduate of Southeast High School and attended Lincoln Land Community College. Aaron was employed by Ace Sign Company for 18 years as a designer and machines operator. A renaissance man with a love of learning, music, Frisbee golf, photography, bicycling, and martial arts, Aaron was an intelligent and generous man, known for being a charming socialite who was always willing to help others. He brought life, laughter, joy and kindness to all that knew him. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Additional Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends for an additional visitation from 12:30 p.m. until the start of the funeral ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Historic Grace Lutheran Church, 714 E. Capitol Ave., Springfield with Rev. Thomas B. Christell officiating. Parking for the funeral ceremony is available at the parking garage on 6th and Capitol Streets. Please bring the ticket with you and it will be validated so parking is free. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
